At Waters View Inn, we take pride in offering a unique blend of historic charm and modern comfort. As a building dating back to the late 1800s, every room has its own story—right down to the bathrooms. When the inn was converted from a boarding house to a guest inn in the 1970s, bathrooms were thoughtfully added to each room, making creative use of the space. Now, decades later, we’re refreshing them to provide a crisp, clean, and comfortable experience while preserving the character that makes our inn special.
A Thoughtful Approach to Bathroom Renovations
Bathroom updates in a historic building aren’t just about replacing old with new—it’s about balancing modern convenience with original charm. Some of our rooms still feature the small wall-mounted sinks from the boarding house days, a nod to the building’s history. While these sinks worked well in their time, they weren’t exactly ideal for adult guests. As part of our updates, we’re replacing them with larger pedestal sinks that maintain the vintage charm but provide the space and function guests expect today.
Fresh, Clean, and Easy – Just As A Bathroom Should Be
In the past few years, we’ve been updating our bathrooms to be bright, fresh, and practical—because we know that clean, modern bathrooms make every stay better. And 2025 has been a big year! So far, we’ve completed renovations in:
- 2023 – Room 16
- 2024 – Rooms 1 and 11
- 2025 – Rooms 3, 7, 8, 10, 13, 14, and 15
Each renovation has focused on:
- Brand-new flooring and finishes – Fresh, durable materials that brighten the space and make cleaning effortless.
- Brighter, more welcoming lighting – Thoughtfully placed lighting ensures the space is bright and functional, day or night.
- New showers, no more clingy curtains – We’ve replaced pesky shower curtains with sleek glass enclosuresthat are easier to use and keep clean.
- Thoughtful design updates – Every detail, from mirrors to fixtures to hardware, was chosen to enhance the space while maintaining its historic charm and beach house feel.
